By Bus or Train:

Europe is a part of the world where public transport actually works and gets you where you need to go in a reasonable amount of time.
The fastest and simplest way to plan where you need to go is using the web site of the 'Berliner Verkehrsbetrieben'. Just enter where you are and where you need to go. Here the links to Berlins U- and S-Bahn system as well as the link to 'Deutsche Bundesbahn' who runs most of the trains in Germany. Both sites provide a version for English speakers.

These websites can also be used to find your way to either
Schöneberg airport or Tegel airport.

By Airplane:
From Schöneberg airport: EasyJet and Germanwings are two inexpensive European airlines who both service Berlin Schöneberg and serve a lot of interesting European cities.
From there you can take the S-Bahn express train (or the S-9 train after hours) to the "Ostbahnhof" train station (the trains originate at Schönefeld so you can only go one way). From Ostbahnhof you can take the #140 bus to the corner of Manteufel Strasse and Köpenicker Strasse. From there walk two blocks south on Köpenicker Strasse to Eisenbahnstrasse, turn right and berlin19 will be a few buildings on your left hand side. You can also walk (see section By Feet) or take a cab.
From Tegel airport: Take the bus TXL "Hauptbahnhof" (main train station). At the 'Hauptbahnhof' transfer to the Buslinie 147. Just be careful because there are two 147 routes, a shorter and a longer one. Take the longer one, which goes to "Puschkinallee/Elsenstrasse" Exit at Eisenbahnstr. (the stop after Manteufelstr.). Turn right into Eisenbahnstr. after a couple of houses you will see number 19 on your left.
